This Neoclassical style French brass and bronze floor lamp is a captivating piece dating back to the 1940s. The small-scale lamp is composed of individual turned and cast components mounted on a solid cast base, reflecting the meticulous attention to detail typical of the era. The upper part of the lamp features an exposed wax stem, a charming nod to times when candles served as the primary source of light. The floor lamp has been recently rewired with a professional quality double socket and a black silk wrapped cord, indicating it's ready for immediate use. The entire lamp has been hand polished to a rich, low luster dark brass finish, with much of the original patina left intact to preserve variations that illustrate its age and use.
